Program Description and Requirements

The Senior Corps addresses the evolving needs of senior volunteerism and coordinates resources to meet the needs of Pennsylvania's communities. Through Senior Corps of PA’s three programs – Foster Grandparent, RSVP and Senior Companion – volunteers can mentor, coach, nurture, manage, be a caregiver or choose from any of the hundreds of other volunteer activities.

The Foster Grandparents Senior Corps volunteers provide the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on a path to a successful future. This can include helping guide students towards academic success, caring for infants or children with disabilities, etc.

Requirements

  • Members must be at least 55 years of age by the start of service.

  • Members must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. nationals, or lawful permanent residents.

  • Volunteers must be in compliance with CNCS guidelines
