What is the National Service Task Force?
The Philadelphia National Service Task Force (NSTF) is composed of three entities: the National Service Task Force Steering Committee, the NSTF Program Council, and the newly created PHL AmeriCorps Alumni Chapter.
Each of these groups works together to help move the goal of envisioning a future where a year of service is a common expectation for all Philadelphians. The National Service Task Force operates under the leadership of our state commission PennSERVE, the Mayor’s Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service, and in partnership with Service Year Alliance.
The NSTF Program Council is a coalition of 23+ service organizations in the city of Philadelphia, established to support increased collaboration across the city’s rich network of AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Seniors, and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer programs and initiatives. As a group, we come together to support our members, share best practices and shape the way service benefits the City of Philadelphia.
