Program Description and Requirements

​

AmeriCorps Community Resource Corps (CRC) members serve while connecting Philadelphia residents to anti-poverty resources at the City.  The work of the CRC is an integral part of alleviating poverty in Philadelphia by making anti-poverty resources more accessible and meeting residents where they are to access these life sustaining resources.  This program is seeking candidates who are active and trusted members in their communities and are committed to making a positive change in their community.

The goals of the Community Resource Corps are to:

  • Connect residents to resources.

  • Conduct neighborhood outreach.

  • Build the City's capacity for strategic community engagement.

​

Requirements

  • Members must be at least 17 years of age (with parental consent) or at least 18 years old by the start of service.

  • Members must be U.S. Citizens, U.S. nationals, or lawful permanent residents. 

  • Members must have achieved a high school diploma or GED by the start of service.
